The title of this photo is misleading - a blue moon is technically the second full moon within a calendar month. Obviously I've called this Blue Moon because I captured this image while the moon was up during the day. For best contrast between the moon and the daylight sky, it's best to wait until just before dusk starts to hit - otherwise the detail on the moon appears soft and opaque. The colour of the blue on this picture does not give the true representation of the actual blue on the print - it is a much lighter blue than it appears in this listing.
